Signs of Improvement Evident with UFC Undisputed 3’s Online Play

The opening days of UFC Undisputed 3 were full of online-related troubles but some sense of stability seems now to have been achieved. Over the weekend the servers were consistently up, cases of lag-plagued fights notably reduced, and fewer (though not completely eliminated) disconnects experienced across the board. While certainly not great the online performance has gotten considerably better and if it were operate as is going forward would at least be acceptable.

Those rough initial days online were damaging for THQ and discouraging for consumers but excellent communication in regards to the status of online and the work being done behind the scenes helped display a commitment to rectifying the problems that hadn’t been there in the past. Online will have to remain reliable though for longer than just a weekend to prove that true progress has been made but there is finally real reason to be optimistic.
