The Walking Dead Has Third Season Episode Order Extended

AMC today announced that the third season pickup of The Walking Dead, announced back in October shortly after the debut of the second season, is being extended in its order. Instead of the planned 13 episodes the third season will feature 16 full episodes and premiere next fall.
Though creatively season two has been at times frustrating, with many fans of the series growing somewhat disgruntled, the series remains a juggernaut for the network. In the critical 18-49 demo it continues to deliver numbers at a higher level than any other cable drama in history. Season two returns from break on February 13th.
