Week two of the NFL season is in the books and already a few teams look like they are destined to be in the running for the top spot in the draft and with it the right to nab Stanford QB Andrew Luck. This will be something evaluated several times throughout the year as developments occur – as shown by Cam Newton even a rookie QB can make a huge impact and change the fortunes of a franchise.
The Colts having lost Peyton Manning sets them up to potentially have the worst record in the league – remarkable seeing what a single player of his caliber could mean to a team. The Chiefs are also down in the dumps after losing two of their best players in Jamaal Charles and Eric Berry for the season. Playing in the NFC West means the Seahawks should collect at least a few wins no matter how bad the team is and that could damage their chances while the Jaguars already have one under their belt but are making a move to a rookie QB who wasn’t expected to play this year.
