There is Hope for a Party Down Movie

Though lauded by critics and supported by a very vocal (but small) fan base the Starz series Party Down never gained traction with its ratings leading to its cancellation after its second season. The numbers were actually so miniscule that they were just in the tens of thousands of viewers, though being available to watch instantly on Netflix may have degraded the ratings while more people actually enjoyed the show.

It comes as a surprise then that creator Rob Thomas has spoken about plans for a movie and that discussions regarding it have been progressing. Sadly the absolutely terrific Thomas’ series Veronica Mars has never been able to get a movie going but it would definitely be fun to have all the Party Down characters back for a film.
