Yesterday it was discovered that a major bug is present in MLB 11: The Show’s Franchise mode, one that is practically identical to a bug in MLB 10 that plagued the mode as well. Essentially after just a couple years (in this instance going into the 2014 season) the free agency list is populated by big name players who have been priced out of the market by cheaper players who progressed to high ratings. Those All-Star caliber players linger in free agency from then on and are not signed by the CPU.
SCEA has acknowledged the problem and expressed surprise that the issue has emerged yet again. Unfortunately any fix will require waiting for a patch. Last year the turnaround on the first feedback-based patch was just over two weeks so that would be a reasonable outcome to look for at this point.
