MLB 2K11 Perfect Game Rules

It may have come late but 2K Sports has finally posted the official rules and guidelines for the MLB 2K11 $1 Million Perfect Game Contest therefore meeting what was likely a legal obligation to do so. The rules appear to be largely similar to last year, though the age requirement has been dropped to 13. The contest will officially open up on April 1st at noon eastern. •You must be 13 years of age or older. Entrants who are not the legal age of majority in their state of residence (i.e., under 21 years of age in Mississippi, under 19 years of age in Alabama and Nebraska, and under 18 years of age in all other states) must CLICK HERE to print out a Parental Consent Form that must be signed by entrant’s parent or legal guardian and mailed with entrant’s video recording. ENTRIES SUBMITTED BY MINORS WITHOUT A FULLY-COMPLETED PARENTAL CONSENT FORM WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

•You must be a legal resident of the United States (but not a resident of Arizona, Connecticut, Maryland, North Dakota or Vermont).

•You must be the registered account holder for the Xbox LIVE Gamertag or PlayStation Network ID used to pitch the Perfect Game.

•Recording must be in one of the following formats: VOB, AVI, MPG, MOV, MPG, MPG 2, MP4, WMV, or FLV.

•Recording must begin at least 5 seconds prior to turning on television and Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 system.

•Recording must show the full boot up sequence of the videogame console.

•Recording must show you logged onto Xbox LIVE or PlayStation Network.

•Recording must be clear enough so that text and button icons are clearly legible on the MLB 2K11 Contest screen prompt when you enter the MLB 2K11 Contest mode.

•Recording must be completely uninterrupted for the entirety of the Perfect Game.

•Upon completion of a Perfect Game, a verification code will be displayed on the screen. The video recording must continue until the verification code is displayed on the screen and the quality of the video must be high enough so that the code is completely legible.

•The video recording submission must be put onto DVD. You should make two copies: one to send to 2K Sports, and one for your own personal records. We will only accept physical copies of the recording.

•You must complete your perfect game between 12:00:01 PM ET on April 1, 2011 and 11:59:59 PM ET on September 28, 2011.

•You must be online and logged onto Xbox LIVE or PlayStation Network.

•You must play the game in the MLB 2K11 Contest mode in MLB Today, which will automatically set the difficulty level to All-Star.

•You may not make any pitching substitutions prior to the game starting. You must use the pitcher that is set to start the game for that particular day.

•You may not pause or interrupt the game at any time during the entirety of the game.

•You must throw a Perfect Game without making any pitching substitutions. You must pitch an entire game without allowing any hits, defensive errors, or allowing someone to reach base while on defense; and without (1) making any pitching substitutions, (2) calling any coach visits to the mound, (3) pausing the game, or (4) delaying the game (waiting 60 seconds or more between pitches).

•You must use Total Control Pitching and Total Control Hitting control schemes when attempting the Perfect Game. These control schemes are automatically set when entering the MLB 2K11 Contest Mode.

Upon completion of Perfect Game, you must IMMEDIATELY input the Perfect Game verification code that appears on screen, and the required information below at the website www.2ksports.com/perfectgame. The time at which 2K Sports receives your verification code and additional information below will be used as a time stamp to determine the first Perfect Game.

Once contact information and verification code have been submitted, print out two copies of the completed submission page. One should be kept for your own records; one will be mailed with the video recording.

Mail the video recording and the printed, completed verification page to the address below within two days of online verification entry.
