Second Patch Coming for UFC 2010

The first patch for UFC Undisputed 2010 was significant but didn’t seem to succeed at squashing the wave of disappointment from consumers towards the game which launched with numerous severe issues. Now THQ has announced a second patch is being worked on and targeted for release in September. Some of the things expected for the patch include addressing online mid-match disconnects, fighter attributes being displayed at the online matchup screen, and combat balance in various areas including transition reversals being addressed.

Though it is probably not going to have an impact on the perception of UFC 2010 what providing another patch does is increase consumer confidence in the company and the Undisputed brand. By doing so they start rebuilding the trust that has been lost which can make future offerings more appealing due to the knowledge that they have a record of supporting products post-release.
