2010 Emmy Nominations Announced

The nominees for the 2010 Emmy Awards were announced this morning for the show that will take place on Sunday August 29th. The HBO miniseries The Pacific led the way with a whopping 24 nominations while Glee was the runner-up with 19 of them. Other freshman shows to get good representation include Modern Family and The Good Wife.

As much as I enjoy Glee the 19 noms just seems like a bit of overkill and I was disappointed that neither John Noble from Fringe or Zach Gilford from Friday Night Lights got recognized. I’m pleased to see that finally Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton have been nominated, they have turned in incredible performances and have been the heart of FNL in all four of its seasons. Lost also got a good deal of credit coming up for Best Drama along with multiple acting nods and nice to see The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien get four nominations.
