First Look at NBA Elite 11

Gametrailers has posted up a developer diary for NBA Elite 11 in which creative director David Littman and associate producer Novell Thomas discuss a few issues that plagued NBA Live 10 and how things have changed for Elite 11. The two aspects focused on in the video are the introduction of real-time physics and the “hands-on control” right stick scheme. They expect them to alleviate the problems of losing control of players in animations and having no skill involved in whether a shot is made or missed (though I’m not sure I totally agree with that).

At this point it sure looks likely that Brandon Jennings will be the cover athlete considering the early screenshots and his usage in this video to demonstrate the different right stick control functions. Not sure it is a great first impression considering he is shooting right handed in the footage. Continue on to check out the video and leave your thoughts in the comments!
