Weekly ‘Take 1′: March 28, 2010

In this week’s ‘Take 1’ we find out that Michael Bay hates 3D conversion, Will Smith can’t decide if he wants to do Men In Black III, and Jack Bauer is no more.

• Alice in Wonderland Easily Wins 3rd Weekend. The film cruised to $34 million to take its cumulative gross to $265 million.

• Michael Bay Announces Casting Additions For ‘Transformers 3′. Ken Jeong, Frances McDormand and John Malkovich are added to the cast.

• Futurama Returns in June. All new episodes releasing on Comedy Central.

• New on DVD: Week of March 22. The Blind Side and Brothers are among some of the movies released.

• The Latest TV Ratings News. Pasta takes a look at the ratings for a few recent premieres and a couple shows that are up for renewal.

• Review: Alice in Wonderland. Only receives two out of five stars.

• ‘300′ 3D Re-Release And Prequel Details. Possibly re-release in 3D and new sequel based on Xerxes.

• Michael Bay Not a Fan of 3D Conversions. Bay says conversion 3D looks fake.

• Will Smith Still Undecided About ‘Men In Black III’. Smith still has yet to sign on to do a new ‘Men in Black’ film.

• Theaters Raising 3D Ticket Prices. Now if you plan on going to the movies, you can expect to pay more across the board.

• Top DVD Sales and Rentals for Week Ending March 21, 2010. The Twilight Saga: New Moon is the top selling DVD of the week.

• Review: Brothers. Scores four out of five stars.

• Trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs The World. New movie starring Michael Cera and Chris Evans.

• Weekend Box Office Predictions 3/26. How to Train Your Dragon or Hot Tub Time Machine expected to take down Alice in Wonderland.

• Trailer for Marmaduke. Fox has released the first trailer for the comic strip adaptation.

• 24 is Officially Canceled. Producer Jon Cassar broke the news over Twitter.

• Tod “Kip” Williams To Direct ‘Paranormal Activity’ Sequel. Will release in theaters October 22, 2010.

• Motion Poster for The Other Guys. New movie starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.
