For some reason Jimmy Kimmel was booked onto The Jay Leno Show to take part in the “10 at 10” segment last night. This was an odd decision for two reasons. The first is that he works for a competing network in late night (ABC). The second is that just earlier this week on his show Kimmel took shots at Leno by doing an impression of him. Kimmel is obviously in the corner of Conan O’Brien so whether NBC thought this would create buzz or if Leno is just that naive either way it was a bizarre decision made to go forward with it.
After Leno tried to paint himself as a victim with some jokes earlier in the show Kimmel was brought on to do what seemed like a standard segment. But it wasn’t long before he started pounding him in nearly every answer he gave. It made for an incredibly awkward but awesome few minutes of television.
