Top DVD Sales and Rentals for Week Ending January 3, 2010

In it’s first week of release Paranormal Activity was the top selling DVD last week. The horror/suspense film did very well in theaters, and scored an 82% ‘fresh rating’ on Rottentomatoes.com. By becoming the top selling DVD, Paranormal Activity dethroned The Hangover from the top slot, which it held for two weeks. Although the comedy slipped to second in sales, it did manage to snag the top slot for most rented DVD. Below is the list of DVD sales and rentals for the week ending January 3, 2010:
