As I mentioned last month, there is a sequel to the 2007 horror film 30 Days of Night in the works. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting some additions to the film’s cast.
Diora Baird, Harold Perrineau, Kiele Sanchez, Rhys Coiro and Mia Kirshner will star in “30 Days of Night: Dark Days,” the sequel to the David Slade-directed 2007 horror film about an Alaska town besieged by bloodsuckers.
Baird, Perrineau and Coiro will play vampire hunters who recruit Sanchez to help them seek revenge on the vampire queen played by Kirshner, who is responsible for the decimation of their town.
It was previously reported the character of Stella Olsen would return, but based on the roles of the new cast members, is this still going to happen? IMDB.com lists Melissa George as rumored to play Stella Oleson, but nothing is official. The movie is definitely intriguing for anyone who enjoys the 30 Days storyline. The film is scheduled to skip theaters and release straight to DVD.
